Whether it’s an older model like the Argus track, the flagship Argus 4 Pro, or the RLC-811A, you can also use voice commands to check live footage and stream video to compatible Alexa devices like the Echo Show 8, Echo Hub, or Fire fire by linking your Reolink camera to Alexa.
Whether you’re checking your front door, monitoring your baby’s room, or keeping an eye on your backyard, this hands-free solution will help you look at what’s most important to you.
This guide will explain the step-by-step process of adding a Reolink camera to Alexa, helping you make the most of your smart home security system.
Especially if you’re using ReoLink to keep your security camera footage local, you’ll need to make the most of Alexa and make the most of your integration to create a Reolink account and stream over Wi-Fi.
What you need

- Set up the camera in the Alexa app
-
Step 1.

-
Step 2.
Please choose to relink the camera that syncs to Alexa
Tap “Smart Home” as mentioned above and you’ll see a list of relinked cameras. Simply tap the “Enabled” option next to the camera to make it visible to Alexa.
-
Step 3.
Enable re-licking Alexa skills
Search for and select to enable Reolink skills within the Alexa app. You will then be asked to link your ReoLink account. Once you’ve done this, you can run the discovery and find a valid camera.
-
Step 4.
Configure relinking cameras in the Alexa app
You can provide a different name for the camera and assign it to a group. All Rio links for synced cameras will be displayed in the Camera section of the Alexa app.
The above step-by-step guide allows you to start and run using Reolink camera and Alexa, and use voice commands to check the camera status or stream footage in the echo show.
However, there’s more you can do, like creating Alexa routines based on motion detection, or using an echo smart speaker as a doorbell chime.
